Metro Maine Psychiatry Hospital is seeking multiple Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner’s to provide and direct the delivery of Adult and Child Outpatient psychiatric services under the supervision of a designated Psychiatrist. The PMHNP is an independently licensed clinician who is responsible and accountable for the research based knowledge, skills, and experience to assess, diagnose, treat, and provide psychiatric care for clients with psychiatric needs and substance use treatment needs. The PMHNP provides mental health treatment using psychotherapy, medication management, and other interventions. The PMHNP consults with other healthcare providers, provides direct patient care, and enhances the ability of others to provide healthcare.  The PMHNP functions as a clinical leader and as a resource and preceptor for other staff, in program development in guiding group decision-making, in implementing plans, and improving quality of care.
-5 days per week, M-F excluding call needs (7-3, 8-4, 9-5, or 10-6)
-Inpatient and Hospital Rounding call opportunities available for additional compensation in adult and pediatrics  (not required)
-Ability to prescribe suboxone (X number – preferable or willing to obtain)

 

HOSPITAL:  Hospital is an acute care, regional psychiatric hospital and a leader in the provision of tele-psychiatry services, including consultations to regional emergency departments and primary care practices.  Hospital offers innovative programming in the form of a behavioral home health, integrated behavioral healthcare in primary care practices, and a mood and memory clinic, which is involved in multiple clinical trials for promising Alzheimer’s medications.
