Health system in western Maine is seeking a Total Joints Board Certified/Board Eligible General Orthopedic Surgeon to join their team of 13 surgeons and 6 non-operative physicians with subspecialty expertise in trauma, reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, shoulder and elbow, and hand surgery.
The ideal candidate will staff their regional practice located in Western Maine. This regional team consists of an Orthopedic Surgeon, a Sports Medicine physician, an experienced PA, and a podiatrist.  This team of doctors  provides state-of-the-art joint replacements, including total knee and hip replacements, carpal tunnel release, joint arthroscopy, fracture reduction, and foot and hand surgery.  A diverse physical rehabilitation and sports medicine department supports the Orthopedics program, as well as a weekly sports medicine clinic for individuals of all ages who suffer from a sports-related injury, including a local Division III university, high school and ski academy.  This position is supported by a multi-disciplinary team of surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and administrative staff who are committed to providing high quality  medical and surgical care to patients of all ages throughout Maine.  This position also offers teaching opportunities of medical students.
